Current Openings
The Program Manager holds responsibility for developing DakshamA Health's partnership strategy and building and managing funding agreements, identifying new opportunities and building grant proposals. The position also encompasses project management and support. This role is line managed by the CEO.
1. Partnership Building & Management (40%)
- Lead strategic development and management of DakshamA Health's existing partnerships and new ones with Industry Partners and others.
- Develop and maintain guidelines and a forward-view plan for strategic collaborations in line with DakshamA Health's strategy.
- Ensure clear communication strategy for partnerships via email, website, conferences, social media and other channels.
- Ensure appropriate agreements and contracts are in place and contractual requirements are fulfilled.
2. Fundraising (20%)
- Lead development of annual fundraising plans to meet financial targets and diversify funding sources.
- Develop a rigorous system for recording and coordinating fundraising activities, proposals, contracts and fund receipts.
- Manage all aspects of DakshamA Health's industry partners scheme — meetings, framework, communications.
- Coordinate and support team and committee meetings.
3. Project Management (40%)
- Active participation in team meetings and organisational activities.
- Line managing project staff and ensuring timely reporting of deliverables.
- Budgeting and activity management.
- Representing DakshamA Health at external events and conferences.
- Communicating effectively with all DakshamA Health stakeholders.
- Supervising staff, volunteers and temporary workers as required.
Essential
- At least 5 years' experience in fundraising in health or international development.
- At least 2 years' experience on international strategies/projects in the not-for-profit sector.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a developing organisation.
- Knowledge of regulatory and data-protection environment for fundraising.
- Sound IT skills — MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), databases, CRM systems.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent project management skills including multi-year, multi-currency projects.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and diplomatic skills.

The Project Coordinator undertakes membership outreach and engagement, and project support deliverables. The role spans membership engagement (40%), communication & social media management (40%), and project management support (20%), reporting to the Head of IT and Administration.
1. Membership Engagement (40%)
- Undertake research, analysis, and outreach to patient-led organisations and civil society in healthcare.
- Prepare discussion papers, briefs, and submissions to support membership engagement initiatives.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committee meetings, and stakeholder consultations.
- Increase membership and expand the network to include more organisations.
- Implement and evaluate procedures for welcoming new members, greeting attendees, and recognising member contributions.
- Educate newcomers about financial support and expectations of membership.
- Support member services including Zoom resources, newsletter creation, and website updates for DakshamA Health and affiliated sites.
- Promote volunteer activities aligned with members' interests; coordinate recognition and appreciation.
- Coordinate communications between staff and members, including social media monitoring and interfacing with external media.
2. Communication & Social Media Management (40%)
- Support project teams with communication materials — editing, recording, and reviewing video and other formats.
- Create a database of service providers for print and design; manage content and learning materials.
- Manage social media posting with content developed by the project team.
- Handle marketing and outreach for e-mailers, registrations, and promotional campaigns.
- Create marketing plans for websites, reports, and materials.
- Research and track activities by member organisations and promote them for visibility.
3. Project Management Support (20%)
- Support onsite and online event management including webinars, conferences, and meetings.
- Support logistics, procurement, and admin tasks as required with prior approval.
- Maintain inventories of project materials and a database of events and event reports.

- At least 2 years' professional experience in marketing and social media in health or international development, or a relevant postgraduate degree in medicine/life sciences/development.
- At least 2 years' experience working on national strategies and projects in the not-for-profit sector or publications/original research.

The Project Officer coordinates and undertakes policy development, membership outreach and engagement, and project deliverables for a women's health project. The role spans project management (50%), policy (20%), communication (20%), and partnerships (10%). Female candidates are preferred for this position.
1. Project Management (50%)
- Manage NGO partners, patient organisations, and other stakeholders, budgets, and implementation plans.
- Follow Gantt charts and key deliverables, and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
- Organise meetings, technical workshops, training sessions, and other events as required.
2. Policy (20%)
- Undertake research and analysis to contribute to policy processes and inform decision making.
- Prepare discussion papers, briefs, and submissions for policy development and delivery.
- Prepare and review policy advice to ensure alignment with organisational policy directions.

- Collate information for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation to support policy outcomes.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Counsellor to provide psychological support to individuals and families affected by Paediatric Neurological disorders at the Sir Padampat Institute of Neonatal and Pediatric Health (SPINPH). The role covers patient navigation, risk assessment, counselling, education, and advocacy as part of a project strengthening rare disease care and patient support in India.
1. Counselling & Patient Support
- Provide comprehensive counselling to patients and families with suspected or confirmed Rare Diseases.
- Explain inheritance patterns, genetic risks, and natural history to affected individuals and caregivers.
- Offer emotional support and help patients understand their diagnosis, disease progression, and potential complications.
2. Patient Navigation & Care Coordination
- Assist patients in accessing diagnostic services, treatment options, and clinical trials within the hospital.
- Work closely with neurologists, geneticists, dermatologists, and paediatric specialists at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) to ensure holistic patient management.
- Provide onsite counselling and follow-up to improve patient adherence to treatment plans.
3. Advocacy & Patient Group Formation
- Support the establishment of patient support groups, providing guidance and resources.
- Organise online and in-person support sessions to connect patients and caregivers.
- Advocate for patients' inclusion in national rare disease programmes and policy discussions.
4. Education & Awareness
- Develop educational materials and conduct awareness programmes for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Address misconceptions and stigma associated with Rare Diseases.
5. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate patient records and track counselling outcomes.
- Support documentation for funding applications, patient assistance programmes, and advocacy initiatives under NPRD.
Essential
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Genetic Counselling, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in clinical genetic counselling or working with patient groups.
- Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English.
